Front-end Web Development
What I Do
I build & maintain web sites by writing fresh, semantic HTML5 and savvy, lean CSS3 (with some jQuery & Ajax along the way) in a variety of back-end development environments (and using their respective templating languages). I also really enjoy custom WordPress development.
I love front-end development because, in my mind, it’s that Venn diagram sweet spot between math and design. Laying down basic HTML & CSS isn’t a brain buster, but laying it down for an entire site takes finesse. To write & structure solid markup, alongside efficient & flexible stylesheets, you’ve got to plan, problem-solve, and hone that eye for detail. This is my thing.
I work as a Front-end Developer with a team of smart, fun, super talented tech dudes at Threadless in Chicago. If you’re interested in proposing a freelance web project, feel free to contact me!

- Threadless We’re an e-commerce, community-based company in Chicago that prints artists’ designs on tees & a bunch of other fun things like totes and iPhone cases, and rallies around causes like Peace One Day. We started out as a PHP shop, but we’ve been rewriting the entire site in Python/Django, which I’m super excited about. It turns out Django is pretty awesome.
