lotus girl musings has been my trusty, plain jane blog since 2008. for more room to stretch i launched magicalthinklet, featuring my musings drawings - imported under the category, lotus girl musings,* plus four new post categories: the daily soup, an homage to the soups i eat on an almost-daily basis; swoon & shimmer, a catch-all for things that, well, shimmer, and make me swoon; vignettes, little poem-wannabes; and smidgens, little shots of goodness.

magicalthinklet is built atop my homemade wordpress theme. i created the theme's artwork using a Papermate G-Force 005mm mechanical pencil, and Winsor & Newton watercolors. i chose Gill Sans font because it's small yet readable, but mostly because I dig the way Gill writes its "g's."

most of my original artwork and writing are recorded with the aforementioned wonder pencil, Sakura Micron black 005 pens, Winsor & Newton or Sakura watercolors in small Moleskine sketchbooks.

* formatting issues from the mass import are still being fixed.
