such a good book
my friend MCB has the best taste in books and graphic novels, and luckily i reap the benefits. lots of times he sends his recommendations my way. i finished Ben Fountain’s book of short stories, “Encounters…” two weeks ago, i find myself still thinking about his characters and their stories. i went in not knowing anything about the stories, and sometimes that element of surprise can be so satisfying. these were some rich, fascinating and heart-breaking tales. such an amazing read.
